It's easy to say that using bamboo flooring would give a person a harder time in installing it. Besides, it doesn’t really have that regal look that hardwood flooring provides. But nevertheless, bamboo flooring provides a unique look that offers a different outlook and beauty.
Bamboo flooring installation in so many ways is the same as hardwood flooring installation. You can choose to nail, glue or staple them down. But it is important to make sure that you follow exactly the manual or instructions that the manufacturer provides.
There are some aspects though that you have to consider before you do a bamboo flooring installation project. First off, you need to scrutinize each and every part or piece to make sure that there are no damages or imperfections. If you miss one, there may be some problems later on.
Also, you need to acclimatize your bamboo flooring first, they need to adjust to the moisture level of the room where they will be installed. Failure to do so will lead to many problems, again, later on.
If you decide to just glue down your bamboo flooring, remember to use polyurethane based adhesives. Using a water based adhesive may result to the dissolution of the adhesive when water seeps in to your floor.
And the most important thing is, follow your manual to the T. Failure to do so may dissolve the warranty. If you think you can’t do the installation on your own, the next best thing is to get a professional.
